Starbrite's Guardian Program

At Starbrite we periodically look for guardian homes for our puppies. A guardian provides the opportunity for us to place a puppy in your home at no cost to you. We do this so that the puppy can receive all the individual love and attention they deserve for their entire life as part of your family. This way, the dog will never have to live in a kennel run and will be in a loving household. 

In return for the puppy, we will have the pup come back to us for breeding, whelping and raising her litter 2-3 times in her lifetime. We also like to help with the dog's training and will show the dog in the breed ring a few times. 

Before breeding, all pups will be thoroughly health tested at the age of two for hips, elbows, eyes, heart and genetic testing (paid by us). We pay for all breeding related expenses while you pay for general expenses (basic vet care, quality food, preventatives, etc.).
